Bloomberg News is seeking an energetic journalist with sharp news judgement, strong storytelling abilities and outstanding communication skills to oversee our Warsaw bureau. You should be a news hound with a nose for scoops and also be able to connect-the-dots across coverage to tell the broad Polish story for an international readership. You’ll work closely with the government and economy teams to cover the new Polish government. You'll also collaborate with colleagues to chronicle financial and business developments in the region's biggest economy.
Importantly, you will act as ambassador for Bloomberg News, setting up roundtable discussions and other events with key newsmakers in Warsaw. Your exceptional people skills mean you will serve as a mentor and role model to others in the bureau, ensuring they navigate the newsroom, and are equipped with the writing, data and broader skill sets required to reach audiences across all our platforms.

Demonstrate exceptional news judgement
Execute clear and comprehensive narrative stories
Work effectively to manage daily news flow and ensure seamless coverage of Poland
Attract top newsmakers
Manage the internal personnel needs of the office
You will need:
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience working in business journalism and in a real-time news environment
Proven leadership skills and the ability to direct coverage
Ability to maintain and develop top-level sources
Strong English and Polish language skills
