Who are the GO-Tech team

GO-Tech (Global Operations Technologies) are part of the Warner Bros. Discovery Technology group and are responsible for the tech needed to run physical operations, globally. Their area of focus is around four main pillars:

  • Tours & Retail

  • Studio Operations

  • Digital

  • Global Real Estate (GRE)

This role sits within the Global Real Estate pillar. This team is responsible for a large portfolio of varied technology platforms and initiatives, including:

  • Global Real Estate Design & Construction Technology, including leading all technology workstreams

  • Global Workplace Experience and Property Management application portfolios

  • Providing project management expertise across our broader technology organization

This role also has involvement in the Digital and Studio Operations pillars which supports our Warner Bros Studio Leavesden and Warner Bros Burbank Studio in Hollywood.

The Role

As Project Analyst for the GRE portfolio within GO-Tech, you will play an important role in the success of the teams.

Along side the project manager, you will have responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, from inception and planning through to design, build and close down.

The role requires a range of skills, business engagement, project management processes, technical understanding, business analysis concepts, and workstream management.

Core responsibilities include, understanding the business objectives and timeline to defined the technical scope, deliverables and project schedule; Coordinating delivery of multiple technical teams; Change control and issue management; and critically, professional engagement with business stakeholders.

To the Business stakeholders, your role will be that of a trusted partner.

To the Tech teams, you will be the central contact, providing structure and organization, throughout the project lifecycle.

In the Digital and Studio Operations pillars you will be involved in a variety of projects and initiatives across an extensive application portfolio. This role will support project teams by analysing business requirements, contributing to technical design and business process design, participating in system testing, and supporting project managers with coordination of project activities.

There will be opportinuties to grow your knowledge to become the teams subject matter expert for specific business areas or systems, as well as opportunities own and manage end to end delivery of small iniatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full project lifecycle

  • Monitor all technical deliveries to timeline and identify and escalate delays

  • Maintain excellent stakeholder communication skills build business partner relationships

  • Executing consistent project processes and tools. Track consolidated Risk, Issues, and Action Items logs

  • Engagement in new and prospective projects to shape the requirements, and coordinate the creation of the project scope and project schedule.

  • Contribute to business process & gap analysis exercises, in preparation for project formation

  • Oversee deliverables from 3rd party vendors where applicable to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes

  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues

  • Elicit business requirements

  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs

  • Understand Business Processes & Requirements in-depth and effectively apply them to appropriate technical solutions

  • Manage project documentation and file repositories; document lessons-learned and best practices; provide meeting minutes, as well as manage the action item follow up

Prior experience

  • Prior experience as a project analyst, business analyst, and/or project coordinator.

  • Extensive experience with clear written and verble communication across technical and non-technical subjects and at all levels of the organization.

  • Prior experience working within a structured project environment and with relevant project tools/artifacts.

  • Proven experience working to a timeline with multiple milestones, monitoring progress the schedule, and delivery to a deadline.

  • Experience within a technical field, in multiple systems/technologies.

  • Experience in multi-geography implementations, due to the global and diverse nature of our portfolio.

  • A solid understanding of a relevant project methodology, and of project processes and tools.

  • A solid understanding of business analysis processes and capabilities.

Strong experience in any of the following will be considered advantageous:

  • Digital projects and website development

  • Office relocation or building renovation / construction

About you

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, continuously proactive, able to work independently, and have a high standard of organizational skills.

Detailed and structured with the ability to maintain constant visibility of a large number of varied activities in progress concurrently.

You are expected to have excellent professional communications skills, with the ability to engage effectively with developers and technical resources, as well as present business stakeholders.

Flexible and keen to be involved in a variety of initiatives, working across various pillars, and in different roles.

Proactive and passionate about your work and problem solving; flexible, resilient, and driven with a strong team orientation.

Available to work flexible hours between geographies to accommodate cross-time zone collaboration, as well as responding during off-hours (when required) in case of critical issues, is expected.

Education & Qualifications

  • 4+ years business analyst, project analyst, project manager, product owner, or similar role

  • Undergraduate degree -- preferred

  • PM Diplomas / Certifications -- preferred

  • BA Diplomas / Certifications -- preferred
