Google Staff Software Engineer in Warsaw, Poland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 8 years of experience in mobile application development or Android framework development.

  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

  • Experience coding in a general programming language (e.g., Java, Kotlin).

  • Experience with distributed computing.

  • Deep technical knowledge of Android mobile application development.

The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

  • Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers.

  • Work with cross-functional teams in Pixel, Android, and across Google to design and develop innovative mobile experiences that delight users.

  • Lead the technical vision and execution of cutting-edge Generative AI technology for Pixel devices.

  • Drive the development of new features and enhancements to Pixel's core software experiences.

  • Collaborate with hardware, product management, and other teams to bring Pixel's unique features and experiences to market.
