Google Software Engineer, Pixel Biometrics in Warsaw, Poland

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in either an academic or industry setting, and with Android application development.

  • Experience developing in Kotlin, Java, or C++.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience building Android applications.

  • 3 years of experience with software engineering.

  • Industry experience with ML and Data Processing.

  • Experience in working with agile teams that need to adjust priorities based on the changes in ML directions.

  • Experience with project leadership and ability to deliver quality features.

  • Work with research scientists, infrastructure engineers, and program managers to determine needs for data collection tools. Take feature requests, scope them, and implement them, and work across the stack, adding functionality in Android apps and in data back-ends.

  • Work on the deployment of these tools into our data collection programs, providing support as needed. Monitor data collection workflows, identify pain points, and suggest future work for the team.

  • Build functionality that will allow rapid data collection at scale. Work at the intersection of ML and software engineering, building tools to drive cutting edge new features.
