JOB DESCRIPTION

UL Solutions is currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented technical expert to join our Commercial Technology team as a Data and Integration Management Specialist to be primarily responsible for contact data management, integrity, governance, and related integrations.

Your primary focus is to provide the organization with access to the most accurate (contact) data with appropriate documentation. The contact data attributes include demographic, firmographics, preference, behavioral, and engagement data, utilizing systems like Adobe Marketo, Salesforce, Demandbase, and Informatica. Your secondary focus is other data stored within Commercial Technology, including campaign and content data.

To achieve this, you develop, implement, and maintain data governance policies and procedures as well as design data (integration) mappings and processes using relevant tools and technologies. You manage and maintain databases, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data. You implement data quality checks and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. You oversee the acquisition, integration, and validation of data from various sources.

You implement and monitor data security measures to safeguard sensitive data and collaborate with data privacy and IT security to mitigate risks. In cooperation with the analytics team, you extract meaningful insights from data and roll out actionable reports and dashboards.

You identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains and keep yourself abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance data management and integration strategies. You create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data integration processes, mappings, and configurations. Provide training and support to end-users as needed.

Your familiarity with appropriate tools and techniques will make you successful in collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing large amounts of information as well as designing better processes for data management and integrations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and enforce data management and integration policies and procedures that comply with data privacy and security mandates.

  • Design and sustain data integration solutions utilizing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools.

  • Work collaboratively with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to comprehend data needs.

  • Oversee data quality, resolve issues, and apply data governance best practices.

  • Engage in data modeling, schema development, and database enhancement projects.

  • Remain updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in data management.

  • Oversee data quality, including the processes of data acquisition and migrations.

  • Establish rules for merging and detecting duplicates to maintain database integrity.

  • Assist in the creation, execution, and management of scoring models, integrations, and system configurations within commercial technology.

  • Aid in the assessment and analysis of technology adoption, utilization, and oversight.

  • Ensure necessary data is accessible for applications or end-users upon request.

  • Develop and execute integrations and API interactions among applications.

  • Perform data analysis and establish mapping designs.

  • Generate and update comprehensive documentation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Technology, or related field

  • +3 years of data management and integration experience

  • Proven experience in data management, integrations and mapping including ETL process, REST and SOAP APIs, and data modeling

  • Strong understanding of database systems, data governance, and data security principles

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

  • Extremely detail-oriented, self-starter who can multi-task well in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and flexibility to multi-task across projects with varying deadlines.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with commercial technology in business to business environment

  • Experience with Adobe Marketo, Salesforce, Informatica, and Demandbase

  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in relevant data management tools and technologies

  • A working knowledge of data retention practices and privacy laws, including CASL, GDPR and CCPA a plus

  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.

  • Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
