Your role:

We have an opportunity for a Degree Apprentice (Level 6) Civil Engineer to start in Summer / Autumn 2025 and join our water sector team based in Warrington.

In this role you will be working within our Water division. You will work alongside a diverse and highly skilled team of Water Engineers and Modellers. You will learn how to use relevant software and programs such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) to produce drawings for infrastructure projects that develop a better way of how we obtain, clean, and distribute water for our communities. Water is one of our most precious natural assets, our work is key to help provide innovative sustainable solutions that balances our environmental impact.

Your role will support undertaking a variety of civil engineering tasks for projects including treatment works, pumping stations and pipelines. You will assist Senior Engineers on activities throughout the project lifecycle that reduce our environmental impact, help solve problems and provide innovative solutions to support our client’s needs. You will also work closely with other disciplines within the project team such as; mechanical and electrical engineers to ensure that the right solution is always being delivered as projects continue to progress.

Our apprenticeships allow you to learn whilst you earn as you study for an academic qualification.You will gain a Level 6 BEng Civil Engineering degree in conjunction with our education partner, University of Salford.

About you:

For our apprenticeships no previous experience is required If you are self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn then this could be for you.

Qualifications:

For our Level 6 apprenticeship you will need either:

• 3 A Levels equating to a minimum of BBC, one of which must be Maths at Grade B or above

• A BTEC Extended Diploma in Engineering – DDM to include Further Engineering Mathematics.

We also look for someone who is:

• A Collaborator: You’ll love to work effectively with lots of different people at different levels, all inputting their part towards a shared goal.

• An Adapter: Able to remain calm in new situations, comfortably switching between a variety of dynamic and exciting tasks.

• A Multi-Tasker: Thinking about more than one task at a time, while still having an eye for detail.

• A Problem-Solver: You’ll love to give your thoughts based on what you see, being unafraid to challenge conventional thinking.

Please note, we ask our Apprentices to come into the office 4 days per week, to ensure that colleagues are able to provide the appropriate level of support.
