Duties Description Under the direction of permanent/seasonal staff, the candidate must be willing to work weekends and holidays through the season. Must be able to properly operate electronic devices such as computers and credit card machines, maintain files and complete required daily reports as necessary. Also must be able to handle/account for large amounts of money. Must be willing to perform manual work, such as but not limited to: using rakes and shovels, pushing lawnmowers and cleaning restroom/shower building within the facility. , Must be familiar with the Guidance Manual and be willing to perform duties listed within it. Must be even tempered, able to speak clearly when communicating with the public - to include enforcement of Rules and Regulations. Candidate will also be required to work at Prospect Mountain Use Area and Lake George Battlefield Park as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. Preference may be given to candidates 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 11/11/2025, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date. Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview. Must have a valid driver’s license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.Must be able to work in remote areas.Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required.
