Your Day-to-Day: Director, I&C Engineering provides organizational leadership around I&C system products and engineering within the Global Instrumentation & Control organization within Westinghouse. The Leader will directly impact the achievement of the Company's goals in these areas of responsibility. This position is responsible for setting uncompromising standards for performance excellence, monitoring and continuously improving the engineering capabilities to deliver market centric, world class I&C product solutions and processes, driving results, measuring performance, and benchmarking for continuous improvement. They will also develop and drive the global standardization of processes across business segments to ensure common utilization of best practices. Lead the I&C engineering organization to support the business units in executing projects, on time, within budget and with consistent high quality. Lead the organization to interface with business units effectively in understanding and developing customer centric products based on market needs. Drive product costs down through cost optimization, value engineering, improved and lean processes. Drive focus on industry leading / game changing innovation and engage solution partners to innovate customer valued new products to the market in collaboration with business units. Oversee and successfully implement product development projects - considering "breakthrough" technologies and cost improvement objectives. Lead and drive global resource strategy that maintains robust training programs, quality and availability of resources to support business demand, challenging work opportunities and career progression opportunities for global work force. Proactively drive strategy to place WEC ahead of the demand curve and anticipating industry needs. Lead the organization to maintain technical leadership in the market, engineering processes that reduces and mitigates risk to WEC. Provide leadership for change initiatives aimed at driving a strong nuclear safety culture, do it right the first-time, cost-efficient solutions which enables business growth Direct global resources in the organization to ensure compliance with Product & Services Quality, Safety, Regulatory, standards globally Establish a governance structure to ensure the inclusion of all key stakeholders and the effective implementation of changes considering product and services differences, geographical/regulatory differences, implementation ofcustomer requirements, and performance needs/expectations. Ensure ongoing alignment on operational changes with Westinghouse leadership and key stakeholders Develop and own metrics to demonstrate tangible business results as well as process effectiveness (leading and lagging indicators). Maintain overall budget accountability for all areas of responsibility, and drive performance and adherence to all applicable laws and regulations

Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical area required. 15+ years' experience required with leadership managing large functional organization, specifically in the areas of instrumentation & control systems Demonstrate ability to lead the engineering of customer- oriented solutions which directly support Company's profitability goals. Demonstrated successful offer development skills in effectively estimating, planning and executing significantly c mplex projects/programs Strong communication skills and a proven history of managing and effectively leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams and interfacing with multiple functional groups. Demonstrate clear, crisp communication (including commitment to documentation of key customer/commercial decisions and effective communication of industry interactions). Demonstrated ability to oversee engineering activities and opportunity management, conveying feedback on customer satisfaction, needs and opportunities. Continually scans the environment to verify products and services are adding value to both the customer and Westinghouse. Demonstrates business skills, including consideration of financial impact when making decisions. Consistent demonstration of driving for results. Collaborates cross-functionally, as well as upstream and downstream, to create alignment and ensure work is done right the first time. Build consultative relationships with internal and external stakeholders: operations, maintenance and engineering decision-makers to enhance Westinghouse's position as premier value-added supplier. Persuasive ability to get stakeholders to cooperate or take action. Applies comprehensive engineering knowledge to lead through complex and difficult technical challenges. Resource Responsibility: 150+ reporting engineering staff, 8+ direct reporting managers
