Job Summary The Senior Credit Review Auditor is responsible for performing a variety of loan review activities which aid in the evaluation of Northwest's commercial, business banking and retail loan portfolios including collecting loan and information system data, analyzing documentation and financial data, and establishing account risk ratings. The Senior Credit Review Auditor will be responsible for providing Management with objective evaluations of the overall credit quality of the Bank as included from time-to-time compliance with policies and procedures and other portfolio trends including geographic concentrations, climate and emerging credit risks. The Senior Credit Review Auditor performs and completes internal credit audits as assigned while researching and interpreting relevant regulations, policies, and procedures to assist in determining the scope and design of a credit audit program. This position is guided by general instruction and a reasonable amount of supervision, this candidate demonstrates a fair level of autonomy and ability to exercise independent judgement. Essential Functions Ensure document and data integrity Manage personal workload/workflow Identify and resolve problems/issues Recommend opportunities for improvements to review process Detect common themes & emerging risks Continue professional education Review sampled commercial loan relationships Gather and analyze loan related financial information Identify early signs of loan problems Analyze financial performance of Obligor Perform annual credit quality reviews for relationships over $1,000,000 Confirm or amend risk rating as appropriate Complete/update Loan Review Summaries for relationships over $1,000,000 Execute loan review strategy as defined by Management Perform target loan reviews based on emerging risk factors Facilitate monthly reporting of progress and emerging risk factors Evaluate effectiveness of credit policies and procedures, identify weaknesses, provide suggestions for strengthening Knowledge of Credit360/BancAudit/Nautilus/CBS/Data Analysis Tool/Audit Management Software Keep track of and update schedule of whereabouts during audits Meet departmental continuing education requirements Be familiar with Northwest documentation/processes/procedures Research/interpret relevance of specific regulations/current literature Assist in developing the scope, audit objectives, and audit program based on assessed risk of business unit/subject matter Assist in determining staffing requirements for Audit Oversee/collect specific samples/data Oversee/record detailed information/data from samples Check results (findings) against samples for proper evidence Oversee/compile working papers as appropriate Summarize results/findings Analyze results as related to Northwest Prepare meeting materials (soft, and final exits) Present relevant findings appropriately to department manager and auditors Produce various audit reports/management letters/credit reports Appraise adequacy of the corrective action taken to improve deficient conditions Work with relevant personnel during the audit process Ensure compliance with Northwest's policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency Work as part of a team Work with on-site equipment Education, Experience + Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred 5-6 years of Credit review/business related experience required 3-5 years of Bank auditing experience preferred 3-5 years of customer service and general business-related experience preferred Ability to apply advanced financial analysis techniques Ability to make right decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, practicing good judgment in gray areas #LI-EK1 #LI-Hybrid
