Ultium Cells Overview:

Ultium Cells, LLC. is a joint venture Lithium-ion automotive battery cell manufacturing plant between LG Energy Solution, Ltd., and General Motors. This high-technology plant is a new construction that will have the latest in battery cell manufacturing technology. This $2.3 billion investment will be among the largest battery cell manufacturing plants in the world. Ultium Cells will produce battery cells for General Motors’ North American electric vehicle applications.

*Position Description: *

During our paid internship program, interns will have the opportunity to work on major projects and showcase their skills and talents. This program will provide each student with valuable insight, hands-on experience, and networking opportunities that will prepare each intern for their future. Interns will work alongside leaders and mentors on assignments related to your field of study to take your classroom learning to the next level. We are seeking dynamic and energetic interns who are ready to seize the opportunity and help us charge into a more sustainable, all-electric future transportation powered by Ultium Cells batteries.

Ultium Cells, LLC. 2025 Summer Internship Program begins on May 19 th , 2025 with a 12-week minimum duration

Additional Duties:

• Support the preparation of engineering reports, presentations and project documentation.

• Conduct research on materials, processes, and technologies relevant to ongoing projects.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues during the design and manufacturing process phases.

• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Qualifications :

• We are seeking students who are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.

• High School diploma or GED required

• Basic understanding of engineering principles and mechanical systems.

• Must be available to attend orientation on May 19 th , 2025 (non-negotiable) and participate for the full 12-week minimum duration.
