About the Role

As a Senior Scientist - Medical & Scientific Affairs , you will be responsible for providing medical/scientific direction for the Digestive & Metabolic Health, and Smoking Cessation products for the U.S. business. As part of the Medical & Scientific Affairs team at Haleon, you will play a pivotal role advancing the trusted science behind our Wellness and OTC Metabolic / Digestive Health brands including Benefiber, Alli and Nicorette with new research, claims, Innovation pipeline and consumer/healthcare professional communications.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive scientific information to support the effective and appropriate positioning and use of our consumer healthcare products.

  • Support the development/implementation of medical strategies, evidence generation, compelling evidence-based claims, scientific communications, medical education, external expert/KOL engagement, benefit/risk assessments, etc.

  • Apply an evidence-based approach in supporting the development of claims/messaging, product information, education, and research initiatives to support innovation and marketed products.

  • Creation and delivery of claims & educational content that helps consumers and healthcare professionals understand use of our products. Support content development for education, publications, medical meeting materials, and other scientific communications.

  • Contribute to the development, review, and approval of promotional and non-promotional medical content to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance guidelines are met.

  • Provide internal medical advice to stakeholders through promotional review/copy approval and other activities.

  • Evaluate the competitive environment, opportunities for collaboration, and current trends impacting the healthcare sector of assigned categories.

  • Build strong relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications

  • PharmD, MD, Ph.D. or advanced degree in Health Sciences or related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory Affairs within the consumer healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Knowledge of US regulatory and healthcare environment

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working in OTC consumer product categories & related Medical Devices and their regulations.

  • Experience working in cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Legal, Regulatory and Commercial.

  • Strong background in the interpretation, evaluation, translation, and communication of science for consumer and healthcare professional audiences.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, business acumen, and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge and expertise in human nutrition research, naturals, dietary supplements, and/or health & wellness preferred.

  • Strong background in the interpretation, evaluation, translation, and communication of science for consumer and healthcare professional audiences.

Location : This role is hybrid based in Warren, NJ, and will require 2- 3 days in office

The salary range for this role is: $125,224 - $172,183 plus a 12% bonus.
