Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining production stamping presses, robotic weld machines, and other plant equipment and facilities. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Maintenance Technician needs to have a strong background in diagnosing and troubleshooting stamping press repairs, as this is the primary challenge currently faced. The Maintenance Technician will also assist with preventative maintenance, facilities upkeep, and ensure the efficient continuation of production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain production stamping presses, robotic weld machines, and other plant equipment.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot stamping press repairs.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance and facilities upkeep.

  • Ensure production operations continue efficiently.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components.

  • Set up and repair machines.

  • Perform welding (Mig) and fabrication tasks.

  • Assist with coil and coil changes and feeders.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of stamping press maintenance experience.

  • Mechanical troubleshooting on press fingers, pumps, gears, and motors (hydraulics and pneumatics).

  • Electrical troubleshooting on sensors, 3-phase motors, 480V, 240V.

  • Experience in welding (Mig) and fabrication.

  • Preventative maintenance on stamping presses.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • PLC troubleshooting (Siemens / AB) is a plus.

  • Robot troubleshooting (Fanuc) is a plus.

  • Facilities maintenance experience is a plus.

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.

Work Environment

3rd Shift Opening: 11pm - 7am, with some flexibility for handoff with 2nd shift. Work schedule includes Monday through Friday, with potential for Saturday and Sunday shifts based on production needs. Currently working 48-55 hours per week. The facility is an older building undergoing improvements, with both stamping and robotic welding areas. Steel-toe boots and safety glasses are required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Working thru new benefits package and working with the US to match the market

Starting from the ground up; would help get to make the plant what it is.
