Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking two Maintenance Electricians to join our team. You will be responsible for the installation of wires in buildings, installing equipment, and troubleshooting machinery once production starts. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and production equipment. You will work closely with other maintenance team members, such as Maintenance Mechanics and Maintenance Tool Makers, to diagnose and resolve malfunctioning machinery. Your role will report to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Hard Skills

  • Electrical install & troubleshoot

  • PLC Troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley)

  • Utilizing a laptop and HMI to interface with PLCs

  • Diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus like transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures

  • Replacing faulty electrical components

  • Using common hand tools and power tools

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Warren, Michigan.

Work Environment

The new plant is moving into Warren, MI from Oklahoma. The facility works with major automotive companies, including Ford, GM, Tesla, and FCA. The company is a global automotive supplier of pump, valvetrain, transmission, and electric drive components and systems, opening a new technical center and manufacturing facility in Warren, MI. The renovated facility will feature new electrical installations, CNC machinist lines, conveyors, carousel assembly equipment, and robotic weld cells. The machinery is scheduled to move to Michigan over Thanksgiving weekend, with production set to start at the start of the year.
