About the Position: This Position is under the supervision of the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC)Supply Chain Integration Dir. Operations Div PBL. Responsibilities Provides technical coordination of work to lower-grade Inventory Management Specialists engaged in the extremely complex and intensive management of assigned worldwide integrated material. Provides effective material support by the integrated management and control of assigned commodity/system characterized by a high degree of equipment complexity, high dollar value, high visibility, and highly intensive level of management. Participates in planning the detailed guidance necessary to develop and accomplish materiel plans and programs. Participates in or chairs meetings to discuss and resolve major logistics problems for the assigned program area and weapon systems. To qualify applicants must possess on one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as: Ability to execute inventory reconciliation for components of managed weapon systems. Can execute demand planning and material requirements planning for components of managed weapon systems. Can provide input into rebuild and disposal for components that are in repair programs or can no longer be used. Will be able to coordinate repair strategies to initiate component repairs. Can prepare and communicate status regarding supply availability for components managed for assigned weapon systems. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Forecasting and Demand Planning Inventory Management Oral Communication Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. The incumbent must meet all requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification within 12 months of being placed on the position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Life Cycle Logistics Level 3 (Advanced) Acquisition Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty. Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2 This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process. The selectee may be allowed to start work prior to adjudication if management approved. Obtaining and maintaining a secret security clearance is a condition of employment.
