Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in the Assembly department, specifically in the vinyl room, performing various tasks related to assembling and packaging shipments. This role requires a mechanically inclined individual with the ability to use a nail gun and operate hand power tools. The position involves medium to heavy lifting and requires strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Assembly department - in the vinyl room.

• Use a nail gun and other hand power tools.

• Perform medium to heavy lifting.

• Assemble and palletize shipments.

• Package shipments.

• Pull, pack, and load shipments.

• Work independently and as part of a team.

• Maintain strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Pay attention to detail.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of light or heavy assembly work in manufacturing.

• Experience using a tape measure.

• Ability to lift 20lbs to 40lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined.

• Detail-oriented.

Work Environment

The work environment is a warehouse setting, with different areas including manufacturing, shipping/receiving, assembly, and testing. The facility is not temperature controlled, so it can be cooler in the winter and hotter in the summer. It is a clean and large facility with big signs and parts either in the process of being developed or ready for shipment. The dress code is casual, with jeans and an appropriate t-shirt. Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection will be provided, and steel-toed boots are required. Lunch breaks are 30 minutes unpaid, with two 10-minute paid breaks.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warren, Michigan.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
