Amentum Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program Manager in Warren, Michigan

Amentum is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Foreign Military Sales Program Manager in the International Programs, PEO Combat Service & Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS) office. This position is currently hybrid, typically with one day weekly in the office at the Detroit Arsenal. This arrangement could change based on the requirements of the government client. Other duties may be assigned to support client and contract deliverables. Travel is required for this position, likely 10% but could be as much as 20% depending on needs of the government. This position is not yet funded, position contingent upon funding award.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the government with all Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities in support of current and future international Program efforts.

  • Assist the Government with early FMS case development.

  • Provide support to FMS policy development efforts to include interaction with DASA-DEC, USASAC, and the rest of the Security Assistance Enterprise.

  • Support Government efforts to develop requirements, multi-years budgets, and acquisition strategies for managed platforms supporting both new production and Army reset programs.

  • Assist the Government in developing internal FMS policy as required as well as ensuring all PEO PMs are aligned.

  • Other deliverables based on contract requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years familiarity with FMS preferably in a Government Acquisition program.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Detailed-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Program Management (PM) awareness.

  • Clearance: Secret Clearance is Required. Please note that US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience with military or government related duties.

  • Master’s Degree with 5+ years of military or government related duties.

  • Experience in FMS case management, or support of a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) is desired.

  • Knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of system acquisition to plan, organize, and coordinate critical aspects of the development, production, deployment, and sustainment of systems, subsystems, and equipment.

  • Knowledge of the Security Assistance/Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs to include the understanding of the FMS sales process from case development to implementation, execution, and closure in accordance with the Security Assistance Management Manual (SAMM)

  • Experience utilizing the Defense Security Assistance Management System (DSAMS), Management Information System for International Logistics (MISIL), Security Cooperation Information Portal (SCIP), and Case Execution Performance Tool (CEPT).

  • Previous DOD experience in acquisitions or acquisitions strategy.

  • Previous experience working in PEO CS&CSS or PEO Ground Combat Systems (GCS).
