Total Employment and Management Forklift Operator - Warehouse in Warden, Washington

BASIC FUNCTION:

Drive battery or propane powered industrial forklift equipped with fork; carton clamp; push pull attachments for moving empty pallets, pallets of product, totes, equipment, etc.  And to ensure storing, shipping and receiving tasks are performed at the lowest cost consistent with operating requirements. Warehousing procedures and policies must be executed on a daily basis such as sanitation, safety methods, temperature control, stacking methods and case condition. The Warehouse Forklift Drivers are accountable for handling, picking, loading, relos (product movement) on a daily basis.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Receive; Pulling and/or Loading product for customers in a timely manner and recording the information properly on the Loading Diagram and Outbound Ticket Tally sheets.
  2. Move various pallets from location to location properly recording the movements on a Relo/tally sheet with the use of an RF gun.
  3. Ensure accurate inventory control by monitoring product between storage facilities and customers.
  4. Change forklift battery as needed.
  5. Assist in the reduction of safety hazards and work safely at all times.
  6. Ensure the interface with other support groups is conducted in a manner that is conducive with the operations goals.
  7. Conducts oneself in a professional manner and ensures personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job function while representing the Company.
  8. Ensure that additional accountabilities, as may be required by management, are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational and Warehouse standards.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Must maintain a good attendance record.
  2. Must be able to perform simple mathematical, verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Must be able to operate levers and pedals to control movement of the forks and other attachments.
  4. Must be able to climb on and off a forklift.
  5. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  6. Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision.
  7. Must be able to work in zero degree storage. Warehousing experience in dry or cold environments helpful.
  8. Professional Appearance and presentation skills.
