One of our clients in Walnut Creek is looking for a staff accountant for a contract to permanent placement opportunity.

• Preparing general ledger entries and reconciliations for month-end closing.

• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.

• Managing journal entries, invoices, etc. and reconciling accounts for the monthly or annual closing.

• Supporting the accounts payable and receivable functions.

• Assisting in the development of reports for the management.

• Assisting in the preparation of budgets or forecasts.

• Assisting with audit preparation.

  Requirements

• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.

• Familiarity with financial accounting statements.

• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.

• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Excellent Excel skills, familiarity with other accounting software also preferred.

• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.

• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
