We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in an Architecture / Construction client in Walnut Creek, California. This role is within the industry of accounting and involves working on a busy team. The Accounting Specialist will be tasked with crucial responsibilities such as reconciliations, data entry, and document scanning. You will be responsible for processing payables and supporting payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. • Undertake high-volume data entry of accounts payable to maintain up-to-date financial information. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks and data management. • Scan employee files and payroll data into the system to digitize and organize important documents. • Utilize skills in Accounts Payable (AP) to manage and process payments. • Perform other duties as assigned to support the accounting team and contribute to its efficient operation. • Ensure all accounting tasks are fulfilled in compliance with industry standards and company polic

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Skilled in Credit Card Reconciliation

• Familiarity with High-Volume Data Entry

• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Ability to perform Document Scanning

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality

• Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
