What you`ll do

Interested in building and running a high-productivity PaaS (platform as a service) for thousands of customers?

SAPs Business Technology Platform is a platform as a service (PaaS) offering for managing and developing applications in the public cloud. It is based on open standards, such as Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes.

We are looking for a (Senior) Developer for our Cloud Foundry (CF) Routing & Networking team in Walldorf who likes to collaborate and bring new ideas to the table.

If you are experienced in routing & networking topics and want to work on challenging problems, then we are looking for you. As part of our teams, you will be working with modern technologies like Cloud Foundry and Docker, as well as modern programming languages like Golang and Python. You will collaborate with teams all over the world, engineer robust and secure platform services, serve direct customer demand, as well as ensure your code is running reliably on the platform. If you are enthusiastic about learning new technologies, love to deeply analyse and understand software and have a goal-oriented and accurate style of working with good communication skills - join our team!

What you bring

• Bachelors degree or higher in computer science or related field

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience

• Expertise in software development with one or more programming languages (e.g. Golang, Python, Ruby, Java)

• Proficiency in working with Linux or macOS environments

• Deep experience in routing & networking topics

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, AliCloud, SAP Converged Cloud, or SAP Business Technology Platform) and container technologies (e.g. Cloud Foundry or Docker)

• Practice of modern software engineering including agile methodologies, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and releasing

• Good communication skills in English language, German language skill would be an asset
