The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for pre-analytic and post-analytic testing of blood and body fluids to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Will perform other duties as assigned. May function as the shift supervisor in the absence of the laboratory director, laboratory supervisor, or laboratory lead by aiding in the establishment of laboratory goals and objectives, supervising all aspects of the laboratory in regard to guest relations, human resource management, and quality assurance. Involves general guidance and direction by the department director and department supervisor. The Associate Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for pre-analytic and post-analytic testing of blood and body fluids to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease; will perform other duties as assigned; involves general guidance and direction by the department director and department supervisor. The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for pre-analytic and post-analytic testing of blood and body fluids to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
