This role will be responsible for developing and enhancing Caregility's real-time communication solutions. The role will work on the design and implementation of scalable WebRTC services, contributing to the development of low-latency, high-quality audio and video streaming applications, and ensuring a seamless user experience. This is a Full-Time Exempt position. Our ideal candidate will be located on the East Coast, who would be able to work hybrid in our Wall Township NJ office. Roles & Responsibilities Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on Java & JavaScript software development. Develop backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot framework. Be able to assist with front end development work using React and JavaScript. Strong understanding of WebRTC protocols and real-time communication technologies. Develop and maintain scalable, low-latency WebRTC applications for real-time audio and video streaming. Collaborate with the Product Management team to ensure alignment with product vision and user requirements. Optimize WebRTC services for performance, scalability, and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to connectivity, latency, and media quality in real-time communication systems. Apply agile methodologies to ensure continuous improvement and iterative product delivery.Skills & Abilities Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable services. Work closely with cross-functional teams including other team developers, Product management, DevOps, and QA to deliver high-quality products. Troubleshoot issues, make recommendations, and ensure timely problem resolution. Engage in performance tuning and code optimization for real-time communication services. Collaborate effectively with the engineering team, stakeholders, and external partners to resolve issues and enhance the user experience.Education & Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years’ experience in engineering, OR equivalent experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for software engineering tooling, platforms, and infrastructure Experience working with Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot and React. Experience leading agile delivery teams and implementing continuous improvements.Additional Requirements May require occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs). Requires extensive sitting, standing and walking. Limited weekend and/or night work may be required. Domestic and international travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area. Current valid U.S. Passport is desirable. Must be willing to complete background checks and drug tests as required by current or future contracts. Must be a US Citizen or authorized to work in the US.
