Insight Global Behavioral Health RN in Waldorf, Maryland

Job Description

An Employer in the Waldorf Area is searching for Overnight Behavioral Health RNs. This person will conduct intake assessments by interviewing patients and relatives to gather case history, plan and provide nursing care, make nursing diagnoses, and recommend treatment options. Collaborating with medical and behavioral healthcare staff, this person will design appropriate treatment plans for clients. Additionally, they administer and monitor reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications, arrange further medical attention when necessary, and assist clients in understanding addiction and treatment needs. Ensuring a safe environment, they will test vital signs, document patient information, maintain confidentiality, and uphold ethical values. Effective communication, problem-solving, and collaboration with other health professionals are essential aspects of the role. The shifts are 7:00PM to 7:00AM and require a valid RN license, BLS and at least 2 years of experience.

Skills and Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working as an RN within the behavioral health space/substance abuse.

Holds Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Graduated and holds either a Bachelor in Nursing (BSN) or Associate in Nursing (AND)

Valid RN License in the Start of Maryland (compact) Experience with Avatar EMR System

Any additional relevant certifications or licensures null
