Exsurco Medical, Inc Quality Assurance Inspector in Wakeman, Ohio

This position will assist the quality group in basic quality duties including but not limited to Inspection and disposition of discrepant product. This dynamic individual should have a high technical ability and experience using standard measuring equipment including micrometers and vernier calipers.

Essential Functions:

  • Examine products at various stages in the production process to identify defects. Conduct in depth inspection of incoming material from suppliers as well as in-process product within the production process.
  • Complete appropriate testing of products and evaluate/improve testing procedures.
  • Compare product work orders to the inspected product to ensure customer specifications have been met.
  • Document all defects; give clear, concise instructions indicating necessary repairs and recommendations.
  • Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures. Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
  • Reroute defected projects to appropriate team member for correction.
  • Assist other departments with understanding and improving quality issues and needs.
  • Supply appropriate information to management/supervision if a defect is found.
  • Complete root cause analysis to determine the source of product defects.
  • Work collaboratively within the production team to guide coworkers in resolving the problem.
  • Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of products.
  • As needed, provide suggestions on new workflows that may provide greater assistance to the team in quality control processes.
  • Process all product that has passed quality inspection.
  • Support and manage the company quality business systems.
  • Ensure product meets all quality specifications and established standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating all applicable quality control documents. 
  • Additional duties as assigned.

     *Education and Training: *

Associate degree in business management or administration (preferred) OR 1-3 years' experience in similar Quality Control position.

  • Comfortable climbing, standing or walking for long periods of time
