Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimal 1 year dispatching experience.
• Self-motivated, excellent time management skills.
• Superior organizational abilities are required.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Ability to work in high pressure situations
• Fast-paced environment
• Must have daily transportation
• Position requires sitting, handling, eye-hand coordination, walking, standing, stooping, and kneeling.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment to dispatch messages and tasks to a team of drivers.
• Efficiently field all incoming calls with the highest level of professionalism
• Effectively communicate all information to co-workers and management
• Ensure all documents prepared for customers are accurate and timely
• Ensure all information is accurately updated in our database management software

Job Specific Skills

• Cultivate strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last minute schedule changes
• Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day
• Collaborate with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customer
• Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and work with drivers to establish new routes for timely deliveries
• Complete and submit drivers weekly time sheets dailyin a timely manner
• Main duties are to prioritize driver's schedules daily
• Ability to multitask on three to four different tasks at the same time
• Work closely withclerical office taskand data entry
• Basic computer skills required (Excel and Word)
