[5 Sugar Packager/Loader Helpers needed for temporary, full-time employment from 10/1/24 to 5/31/25 in Wahpeton, ND.

[Job Duties: Assists in producing, packaging, and storing powder sugar and bulk bags of granulated sugar. Assists in the operation of sugar packaging and associated equipment, and the warehouse, as directed. Operates powdered sugar production and packaging equipment, bulk bagging equipment, railroad equipment (i.e. trackmobile, railcars, scales, etc.), and other specialized equipment. Operate a forklift. Load sugar into bulk railcars and trucks. Complete reports as required. Report mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, environmental, food safety, food quality, operational problems, and/or unsafe conditions to supervisor. Assures that all work areas are kept clean within the safety, food safety, food quality, and sanitation guidelines. Other job-related duties as business requires. Adhere to company policies and perform assigned duties safely, efficiently, and in compliance with safety, food safety, food quality, feed safety, sanitation rules and programs, and environmental permits.

[No minimum education or experience required. [Requires successful completion of forklift training and certification test (training provided onsite by employer). [Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs on an occasional basis. [Must be able to push/pull/bend 20 to 100 lbs. [Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. [Must be able to certify understanding of environmental requirements. [Must be able to stand or walk on concrete floors for an entire 8-hour shift if necessary. [Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. [Must be able to work in extreme cold/hot temperatures and in loud/noisy and dusty conditions. [Must be willing and able to work on rotating shifts up to 6 days per week, including on weekends and holidays. [Post-employment criminal background check and drug test required, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. [Workers are subject to post-injury/incident drug test, and/or upon reasonable suspicion, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. [Must have good attendance, safety, disciplinary, and overall employment records. [Applicant must complete an employment application.

[The employer will offer a minimum of 40 hours of work per week. Business operates 7 days a week, workdays vary Sunday through Saturday. 5-day work schedule with rotating shifts 8am to 4pm, 4pm to 12am, 12am to 8am. Scheduled sixth workday every four weeks. Hours and shift times may vary with business needs.

[Basic rate of pay from $20.37 to $23.37 per hour. Base wage is $20.37 per hour. When working rotating shifts the wage is increased to $23.37 per hour. The employer may increase wage based on experience, market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Optional union membership is available.

[Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $30.56 to 35.06 per hour.

[Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned.

[The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly.

[The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law.
