NCTAMS PAC provides comprehensive, around-the-clock telecommunications support to strategic and tactical warfighters throughout the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Area of Responsibility and beyond. This position manages the maintenance of multiple Operations Centers including:

• Wahiawa, Hawaii Satellite Communications (SATCOM) is the backbone of the U.S. military’s communication, offering the war-fighter a point of entrance into the DoDIN and legacy tactical C4I services with reliable high-throughput telecommunications utilizing various RF spectrum bands

• Mobile User Objective System (MUOS) is the Defense Department’s next-generation narrowband military satellite communications system. It will support a worldwide, multiservice population of UHF band users, providing increased communications capabilities to smaller terminals while still supporting interoperability with legacy terminals. MUOS is designed to support users that require mobility, high data rates and improved operational availability

• Kaneohe, Hawaii Tactical Support Communications (TSCOMM), provides rapid, reliable, secure communications support for forces deployed overseas and at home ports within the U.S.

• Naval Radio Transmitting Facility (NRTF) , Lualualei provides operational Command and Control communications utilizing the Very Low Frequency (VLF) and Low Frequency (LF) radio spectrums.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will work directly on a U.S. Government Department of Defense (DoD) contract for V2X (Vectrus Services Corporation) and therefore must be a US Citizen with an active security clearance.

The individual will be responsible for ensuring the balance of workload to teams of maintenance personnel in multiple locations, managing the daily (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) care of equipment located in multiple geographically separated locations.

Qualifications

Education / Certifications:

One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.

• US. Citizenship Required

• SECRET Security Clearance Required

• Must be qualified under the Navy Preventive Maintenance Program and Personnel Qualifications System (3M PQS) to the Department Head level (307) within six months of contract start.

• Qualifications: CSWF Code 45 Position (reference Attachment “Cyber Security Work Force Requirements” and DoD Directive 8140.01 Cyberspace Workforce Management, DoD Directive 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program and SECNAV M-5239.2 Cyberspace Information Technology and Cybersecurity Workforce Management and Qualification Manual).

• Certified in Sec+/GSEC/SSCP

  Experience / Skills:

• Must possess relevant experience in managing a team of maintenance personnel in multiple Telecommunication facility locations, synchronizing work schedules, and resource conflicts to minimize service interruptions for both preventative and corrective maintenance activities.

• Experience in balancing the workload of teams of maintenance personnel in multiple locations.

• Experience managing the daily (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) care of equipment located in multiple geographically separated locations.
