Robert Half Network and Systems Administrator in Wadsworth, Ohio

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Network Administrator in the Wholesale Distribution industry, based in WADSWORTH, Ohio. This role involves providing technical and administrative support on every aspect of our IT infrastructure such as desktops, laptops, servers, switches, access points, Microsoft 365, and key corporate initiatives. You will be responsible for the installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of all infrastructure items throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management and department leaders to assess near- and long-term capacity needs

• Create and maintain documentation related to system configuration, processes, and service records

• Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for administration, usage, and disaster recovery

• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software problems on servers, workstations, and network

• Oversee new and existing equipment, hardware, and software upgrades

• Provide on-site and remote end user and server support with a focus on client satisfaction and technical excellence

• Monitor network, hardware, and software performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed

• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices

• Manage servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated operating systems and software

• Perform server and workstation audits, system backups, and recovery

• Utilize key skills such as VMware, Windows Server 2019, Active Directory, and Group Policy in day-to-day tasks. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working as a Network Administrator in the Wholesale Distribution industry

• Proficient in VMware

• Familiarity with Windows Server 2019

• Experience with Active Directory

• Knowledge of Group Policy

• Demonstrable ability to troubleshoot network issues effectively

• Strong communication skills to liaise with various departments and staff levels

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks

• Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field is preferred

• Relevant professional certifications would be an added advantage
