Our client, a food manufacturing company, is seeking a Lead Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Lead Forklift Operator, you will be part of the Logistics department supporting the Shipping Team. The ideal candidate will have effective stress management skills, ability to work without direct supervision, and working knowledge of health & safety requirements which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lead Forklift Operator

Location: Shirley, NY

Pay Range: $19 - $19.75 per hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7AM - 3PM

What's the Job?

• Coordinate receiving of inbound Raw Material and shipping of Finished goods products

• Provide employees with continual input on work performance and act as a guide for improvement

• Release orders as appropriate following the established guidelines and procedures

• Perform system and/or manual tasks to support inbound and outbound operations

• Follow company’s health and safety program, rules and procedures and work in compliance with health and safety-related legislation and codes

What's Needed?

• Completion of high school education or equivalent

• Minimum two (2) years experience in the Manufacturing industry in a Supervisor /Coordinator role

• Forklift Operator Certification

• Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy

• Ability to work in a team, and/or under minimal supervision
