Ridgeview Medical Center Physical Therapist in Waconia, Minnesota
Purpose of Job Ridgeview Rehab is seeking a casual Physical Therapist to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary acute care team. This position involves working in an energetic and compassionate environment designed to serve the unique needs of our acute care patients providing services to our busy Joint Replacement Center and to short-term stay inpatients. Responsibilities include excellence in care for orthopedic, intensive care/telemetry, neurology, and general medicine/surgery. This position includes commitment to minimum one weekend per month as core specialty staff, with opportunity to work additional weekends in rotation if desired; potential opportunity for weekday and evening hours. Patient advocacy, solid communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary care team, and flexibility within a work day are qualities and skills that will thrive at RMC-Rehab Specialties. Job Functions Performs evaluations, documents care, and discharges client cases according to RMC and professional standards. Provides current and quality treatment, utilizing Ridgeview and professional resources to promote continued quality care. Communicates with the patient, health care providers, insurer and others to ensure that patient needs are addressed. Exhibits working knowledge of hours of operation, customer base, department operations, visit procedures, and chart audit procedures. Understands and uses reimbursement and regulatory guidelines for care and environment. Provides effective supervision of PTAs, ATCs, aides, students and volunteers when physical therapy is provided. Provides professional and courteous customer service to internal and external customers. Performs other duties as assigned Employment Requirements Minimum Education/Work Experience Licensed Physical Therapist, valid in Minnesota CPR Certification Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities Ability to work independently and organize tasks Ability to exhibit flexibility, self-control and maturity in work and behavior Ability to promote Rehab Specialties services Ability to change work locations with or without prior notification in order to meet customer needs Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner. Knowledge of basic computer functions and Microsoft Office applications Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations. Ability to work autonomously and as a team Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above.
