Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will be predominantly responsible for preparing financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. This role requires a high degree of precision, a strong understanding of financial principles, and the ability to handle complex tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records: ledgers, journals, and statement analysis.

• Oversee billing, collections, and cash applications.

• Assist with annual auditing processes and ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.

• Perform the processing of functional and benefits expenses to ensure accurate and timely payment.

• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.

• Prepare monthly financial statements, including variances to budget, and assist in completing annual budgets.

• Adhere to and stay updated with changing financial regulations and legislation

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a staff accountant or relevant role in accounting.

• Proficiency in accounting software systems and MS Excel.

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Excellent mathematical skills; accuracy and attention to detail is paramount.

• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
