Our client in Vista is seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. If you are detail-oriented, analytical, and thrive in a dynamic environment, this is a great opportunity to contribute to the financial success of a well-established company.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.

• Reconcile accounts, research discrepancies, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.

• Prepare and post adjusting journal entries and ensure compliance with Accounting Standards Generally Accepted in the United States (GAAP).

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to help guide informed decision-making.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline and improve financial reporting processes.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 3+ years of experience in accounting or a comparable role.

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create advanced spreadsheets.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of GAAP and experience preparing financial statements. CPA or CPA candidacy is a plus.
