TAD PGS, Inc. Product Shipping/Receiving Clerk in Vista, California

We have an outstanding Contract position for aProduct Shipping/Receiving Clerkto join a leading Company located in theVista, CAsurrounding area.

Pay/Salary Rate (Range) is $ 20-21.50

US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities :

  • Performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse

  • Uses a computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting

  • Follows shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules, and requirements

  • Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment

  • (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc

  • Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on the system; processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations

  • Performs non-routine tasks which may involve some use of judgment and initiative in the shipping and receiving of materials, supplies, and equipment

  • Under general supervision, prepares record of goods shipped and received and bill of lading, posts weights and shipping charges, and maintains shipping record files

  • May operate forklift and prepare goods for final shipment

  • Under limited supervision

  • Receives some instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments

  • Uses professional concepts to solve a variety of problems

  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where limited judgment is required

  • Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained

  • Decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in schedules

  • Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and internal and external customers

  • Interaction normally involves the exchange or presentation of factual information

  • May serve in a lead role and train others

  • Normally receives some instruction on routine work, general instruction on new assignments

  • Having some knowledge and experience, able to handle unusual job events

  • Choice of action requires more than common sense in that some training and experience is needed before knowing what to do under special circumstances

  • Above-average communication skills

    Basic Hiring Criteria :

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience

  • Stockroom experience that includes receiving, putting away, kitting, cycle counting, and shipment of various materials

  • Good data entry skills are required to accurately complete daily transactions as required

  • Material Handling experience using various handling equipment (e.g. forklifts) to move material throughout Manufacturing locations

  • Stockroom and Warehouse experience, good math skills, and interpersonal skills

  • Candidate must be able to work both independently and with a group in moving material to and from work cells

    Desired Qualifications :

  • Receiving and Shipping experience

  • Good understanding of Material Control and Movement processes and data entry skills

  • Familiar with the use of material handling equipment including forklifts

  • Has context menu
