Pay Rate:

$30.00 - $33.00 / HR

Job Description:

  • Installs and commissions Mid-Energy Portals (MEP) and Low Energy Portals (LEP), IP6500 Vehicle and Cargo Inspection Systems (VACIS) and Exploranium, Radiation Portal Monitor (RPM) systems.

  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.

  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, system manuals, and technical directives for troubleshooting purposes

  • Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective actions.

  • Performs a variety of technical support on products such as equipment, integrated systems and subsystems, and software at customer and/or factory locations.

  • May be called upon to work on equipment that has little or no documentation or training.

  • Ensures that tools and test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.

  • Works with team members to achieve success during installations of equipment and systems.

  • Maintains clear and concise business communication proficiency, both oral and written.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Vista, California.

Work Environment

  • Work can be based out of the Vista location assisting in day-to-day system assembly to gain knowledge.

  • When in the field, work can take place at border crossings and ports of entry in the US or internationally - will travel 75% of the time.

  • Currently, most of the projects are in Texas, but there may be support for other projects in other states.

Workdays may vary. If not in the field, it will be standard Monday - Friday / 1st shift.

When in the field, the hours/days will be dictated by the project. FLEXIBILITY IS KEY.

Overtime should be expected.
