Aston Carter Financial Analyst in Visalia, California
The Plant Financial Analyst has the responsibility for day-to-day financial oversight and operational analysis for all their assigned manufacturing factories. This includes but is not limited to managing office and facility business systems to support and maintain timely and accurate information flow. This position will be based out Visalia, CA and will have trips (25%) to the Jerome, ID facility for which the role has oversight.
Essential Functions:
Review processing of daily production to include pre-filtration, filtration and dryer paperwork.
Monitor all liquid inventories.
Verify reporting information is correct.
Issue Materials.
Booking of work orders in System 21.
Physical stock adjustments.
Item and Lot Transformations.
Business partner for manufacturing factory leadership, serving as their go-to person for all day-to-day financial and plant performance topics.
Review and analysis of key production KPIs including, but not limited to yield, production pounds, plant uptime and utilization.
Manage the full inventory accounting process including the weekly management, review and analysis of standard costs, daily review of inventory adjustments, and oversight of the cycle count process and/or year-end physical inventory count.
Process leader for plant inventory, work order, manufacturing expense and management reporting processes. This includes indirect leadership and support of plant front office teams.
Review the current work order process and provide ideas to improve the process.
Review of daily inventory transactions to identify items that were recorded incorrectly and determine the proper “fix” in real time.
Ensure that the front office team at each factory has documented standard operating procedures and trained back-ups for all key tasks.
Assist with corporate initiatives supporting FP&A and accounting projects on an ongoing basis.
Help manage purchase orders and 3-way match to ensure invoices are paid timely
Perform general administrative responsibilities as needed including miscellaneous filing, distributing and sending faxes, maintaining inventory of printer cartridges, coordinating office machine maintenance, preparing presentations, developing various correspondence and lists, presentation, preparing weekly outgoing shipments, and running local errands as requested.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field required
Previous experience in dairy or food processing preferred
3+ years previous experience in similar role in a manufacturing business
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional problem-solving initiatives.
Ability to independently learn processes, demonstrating a curiosity to go farther than instructed.
Aptitude for communicating with people at all levels of the organization
Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
In-depth experience with Microsoft Excel
Experience working in ERP systems, Power BI or other BI tools.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $48.08/hr.
