The Workers' Compensation Lead is responsible for:

  • Being the department subject matter expert and guiding the Workers’ Compensation Team when the Manager is unavailable.

  • Also, manages a caseload and proactively manage all aspects of the claims handling process, including return to work, claim investigation, and medical case management to ensure early access to quality medical care and a rapid return to work for each Team Member who sustains a work-related injury.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Required - 7 years - Workers' Compensation, Case Management, or Litigation.

  • Preferred - Workers' Compensation Adjuster license, case manager certification, LPN license, RN license or working in a workers' compensation specialist role for a large employer or workers' compensation physician office.

  • Skills include knowledge of regulatory agencies and statutes relating to workers’ compensation, OSHA, HIPPA, ADA, FMLA, Medicare, and Social Security.

Education:

  • Required - Associates degree in Healthcare, Workers' Compensation, Risk Management, or related field
