Teal Media Website Content Strategist in United States

Teal Media is seeking a fully remote Website Content Strategist for a full-time position!

The Content Strategist leads the content strategy for website projects and guide projects from discovery and research through the launch of the website. You will be responsible for everything from persona development, content audits and analysis, information architecture, content type and taxonomy development, content migration support, content governance, and more.

The Content Strategist will also provide general digital marketing strategy for Teal client projects. This means guiding clients as they think about and plan for an integrated outreach approach across the web, social media, email, and paid advertising.

Your Team

This role is part of the Strategy & Data team. You will report to the Director of Content Strategy.

What You'll Do

Execution

  • Drive the content strategy for mid- large, complex website projects, which includes, but is not limited to:

  • Discovery and research

  • Content audits/evaluation/assessments

  • Market/competitive analysis

  • Audience research and usability testing

  • SEO keyword and performance research and analysis

  • Website analytics research and analysis

  • Website content strategy development

  • Information architecture

  • Sitemap plan

  • Wireframe outlines

  • Content type definition

  • Taxonomy development

  • Content/copy guidelines and best practices development

  • Content-related client trainings

  • Content governance

  • Copywriting/editing

  • Quality assurance and control

  • Ongoing content performance monitoring and analysis

  • Collaborate with Teal subject matter experts in UX design, engineering, SEO, site analytics, social media, email, paid media, and other disciplines to create solutions that are rooted in best practices and audience needs

  • Ensure content strategy deliverables meet Teal quality standard and client expectations

  • Greater understanding of digital marketing strategy in general, to advise client on how to integrate other digital channels like email, social media, and paid advertising to drive support and engagement for their organization

  • Facilitate client trainings and working sessions

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and consensus building skills to fully understand the problem we are trying to solve and drive client conversations and decision-making

  • Well-versed in how to analyze quantitative and qualitative data and formulate insights

  • Impressive presentation skills, particularly in constructing a narrative that explains the WHY behind strategic decisions and recommendations

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, techniques, best practices, and benchmarks, and identify opportunities to incorporate them into project work

  • Evaluate opportunities in projects and client relationships for upsells

  • Participate in the proposal and pitch process for new business

Departmental

  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Content Strategy to create, improve, document, and implement content strategies and tactics to contribute to the overall success, efficiency, and sustainability of the company

  • Participate in employee onboarding/offboarding process

    Ideal Candidates Will Have

  • At least 3+ years of experience developing the content strategy for website projects as well as basic experience with multi-channel digital content strategy in an agency or fast-paced internal environment

  • Strong effective communication and problem-solving skills

  • Some client-facing experience / comfortable with training stakeholders and clients

  • A growth mindset - positive attitude towards challenges, a willingness to embrace feedback, and a resilience in the face of setbacks

    Salary & Level

Teal Media is committed to equity and transparency when it comes to salary and the growth of our people. This role is open to both level 2 and 3 in our progression framework and is determined by the candidate's unique background and experience.

Level: 3

  • Official Title: Senior Website Content Strategist

  • Salary Range: $90,000-$110,000

Level: 2

  • Official Title: Website Content Strategist

  • Salary Range: $80,000-$95,000
