Summary:- The Waste Center Coordinator will prepare and execute routine tasks for disposal of waste from facility and coordinate receiving, planning, arranging, organizing, collection, recording etc. activities. The Waste Center Coordinator will assist Team Lead to ensure waste activities are well planned and compliant with legislation. Manage waste services program by responding promptly to store needs and continuous improvement of our waste management. Waste Center Coordinator will support to play a key role in vendor and inter-related department relationships and will be the liaison to include representing management and support in making decisions that substantially impact our expense. Advises on best management practices for maximum waste reduction and recycling. Assists in developing and implementing programs and ordinances that support the facility's waste reduction & department goals. * Responsibilities:-* * Waste Management * * Management * * Manage Waste Center activities and Waste Management Team to support manufacturing and the overall facility. * Evaluate new type of waste. * User of S/4 Hana System. * Serve as the liaison and arrange delivery between the facility and 3rd party service providers (waste collector). * Support to prevent from any custom complaints or issues through problem-solving in collaboration with logistic, security, procurement, agent teams. * Manage and arrange waste accordance to specific type with the instructions set by the Malaysian Department of Environmental (DOE). o General waste o Scheduled waste * Oversee and mentor waste management staff. * Performs related duties as directed when such duties are a logical and appropriate assignment to the position * Documentation* * Proper documentation during receiving (Waste generation form) and upkeep shipping documents (Waste collection form). * Keep Inventory of Waste by recording in excel. * Proper storage, labelling, record keeping, collection. * Training* * Assist to develop and maintain One Point Lesson (OPL) and Procedure Operating Guideline (POG) support of the company’s PEP program. * Assist to develop and execute training programs related to waste management, and regulatory opportunities. * Support to achieve continuous improvement for waste area. * Hygiene & 5S* * Support all daily sanitation & 5S activities within the Waste Center area * Investigate any issues and recommend/complete corrective actions * Work in conjunction with sanitation and 5S team * Ensure compliance with chemical control, GMP's, PEP and HACCP programs * Requirements:-* * Vocational Certificate/ STPM / A-level and above, Diploma preferred. * Minimum of 1-2 years of related Waste Management experience required. * Competent in forklift operation. * Knowledge of sanitation, waste management, custom requirement, chemical management, Sanitation programs and EMMP programs. * Knowledge of quality system requirements – Food Safety, Hershey PEP, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), etc. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, primarily utilizing Word and Excel.
