Position: Warehouse

Schedule: Mid Shift -Full-Time Afternoon Hours -

Location: Strongsville, OH

Pay: $18.50

Hours: 10:30am-7pm Monday thru Friday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with new-hire orientation and train associates on all Product Coordinator – Level I, II, and III functions.

  • Under the supervision of a warehouse supervisor or branch manager, direct a small team of associates in one or more functional areas of the facility, i.e., Case Production, Table Production, UPS, Fair Finishing, 2nd shift, etc.

  • Assist the warehouse supervisor to train, coach, mentor, and motivate the warehouse team.

  • Serve as designated branch trainer, for all new processes, procedures, etc.

  • Assist the warehouse supervisor in planning and presenting branch or departmental daily start-up meetings

  • Serve as a subject-matter expert for Labor Data Collection and assist the warehouse supervisor to ensure associate Labor Data Cards are completed timely and accurately.

  • Assist the warehouse supervisor in planning and coordination daily Wave production planning.

  • Lead Special Projects as needed.

  • Support the branch team by driving continuous process improvement for all warehouse functions.

  • Perform basic supervisory tasks (excluding formal performance management) in the temporary absence of the warehouse supervisor.

  • Monitor warehouse supplies and equipment and notify the warehouse supervisor or branch manager when supplies are low or reorders are necessary.

  • Ensure that all warehouse equipment and tools are properly utilized to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety; report any unsafe conditions, damaged equipment or injury (to self or co-worker) to your supervisor or manager immediately.

  • Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders and pushing/pulling display cases.

  • Accurately and timely complete Labor Data Collection Cards to according to company standards.

  • May operate motorized pallet jacks upon successful completion of the SBF power equipment training program.

  • Maintain a courteous and positive relationship with all co-workers and customers.

  • Drug and alcohol-free policy compliance.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate preferred.

  • Must be Forklift Certified with 1 year experience operating forklift equipment. (If certified – must be at least 18 years of age)

  • Ability to demonstrate basic product scanner proficiency (i.e., ordering replenishment) effectively with minimal errors.

  • Strong team player and the ability to get along with co-workers.

  • Good verbal/written communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to read documents in English, such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to lead and direct other employees.

  • Must be able to lift boxes that weigh up to 50 lbs occasionally on a daily basis.

  • Must be able to lift boxes that weigh up to 30 lbs to a height of 70” occasionally on a daily basis.

  • Must be able to push wheeled cases, which may weigh in excess of 300 lbs, with an initial force of up to 50 lbs and a sustained force of up to 30 lbs.

  • Must be able to stand, reach above and below the shoulders, squat, bend and kneel as necessary to perform the job.

  • Must be able to tolerate work in a non-air conditioned environment.

  • Must be able to accurately follow specific instructions for multiple detailed assembly processes.
