Location: Remote/CA Duration: 6 Months Description: Client is looking for an experienced technical writer to support the best software engineering teams in the world. This writer will work closely with technical leads to improve the developer experience and productivity through high quality documentation. The writer will produce developer-facing system documentation, product guides, reference materials, and e-learning content. The right candidate is an excellent communicator and has a demonstrated ability to initiate projects and manage any/all necessary steps to completion. Depending on writing experience and technical knowledge, the writer will collaborate with our engineers and technical program managers to: Responsibilities: Write, edit, maintain, and improve content including, but not limited to technical system overviews, internal services, user guides, knowledge base articles, tutorials Collaborate closely with engineering leads on documentation-oriented process improvements, documentation discoverability, and long-term knowledge management Guide, motivate, and train engineering teams to adhere to documentation process improvements and maintenance Independently drive, manage, and prioritize multiple projects in a quickly changing environment Desired Qualifications: 5+ years experience writing for a developer audience Experience producing, optimizing and organizing written materials Experience using authoring tools such as Doxygen, Sphinx, XML, Markdown.
