Summary OIG is organized into seven operational units: the Immediate Office of the Inspector General, Office of the Counselor, Office of Audits and Evaluations, Office of Healthcare Inspections, Office of Investigations, Office of Management and Administration, and Office of Special Reviews. In addition to the Washington, DC, headquarters, OIG has offices located in more than 60 locations throughout the country. Responsibilities These positions can be filled in any of the following VAOIG Office of Audits and Evaluations (OAE) locations: Aurora, CO; Austin, TX; Baltimore, MD; Bay Pines, FL; Dallas, TX; Decatur, GA; Hines, IL; Kansas City, MO; Los Angeles, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; San Diego, CA; Seattle, WA; and Washington, DC As a Supervisory Management Analyst, you will: Provide guidance, instruction, counseling and advice to staff. Makes decisions on work problems presented by the staff. Identifies and provides for the staff's developmental and training needs. Develop and implements methodologies and tools to ensure that all project work conducted is performed in accordance with VA, OAE, and OIG requirements, and applicable professional and federal auditing and evaluation standards. Assist in formulating project strategies and techniques including the use of statistical sampling and computer-assisted techniques. Present drafting and developing of briefing packages and advisory memoranda and conduct of briefing meetings with senior and executive level staff. Requirements Conditions of Employment The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. Qualifications You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-14: One year of experience at the GS-13 level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement, and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully accomplish the duties of the position, which include: Developing IT tools that add business value, mapping processes, process improvement, project management, AND Communicating issues, justifying conclusions and recommending courses of action; AND Performing formal and informal briefings and presentations of a technical nature to high-level management In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
