Staff Validation Engineer

Job Description

Work with processor-memory interfaces, mainly DDR5 topologies and protocols, as well as high-speed signaling, including signal integrity and power integrity concepts. Lab bring-up and validation of high-speed memory buffer semiconductor products. Develop test methodologies for validating silicon designs against JEDEC and internal specifications. Develop scripts for automating lab equipment and for analyzing lab data. Work closely with silicon design teams to develop experiments, drive data collection, and present results analysis. Provide inputs to FPGA, system, and PCB design requirements. Support Applications Team in understanding and resolving customer issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Master’s Preferred, related field experience, and 48 months of experience

Additional Information

Experience in the following:

  • Lab equipment, especially high-speed oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzer, TDR and others. Writing lab automation scripts, especially in Python and/or Perl.

  • Full product design cycle and test methodology silicon, package, Module and system levels.

  • PCB Design and layout experience for memory modules.

  • Signal integrity and power integrity experience. DRAM Memory interface (DDR1/2/3/4/5) analysis and improvement

  • PC and Server Memory module validation on ATE Tester is desired (Advantest/Teradyne/93K).

  • System MRC(Memory Reference Code) analysis and DRAM validation on real system.

  • Failure analysis of Memory module, DRAMs and Buffer chips.
