Staff Functional Safety Manager

Job Description

  • Guide the strategy and evidence to prove that the methodology to achieve functional safety is reasonable and the best-known method in the industry.

  • Prove that the functional safety architecture fits the internal and/or external customer safety specifications, delivering proper work products, i.e. safety concept, safety requirement document, safety manual, etc., and delivering proper safety analysis, i.e. FMEDA, FTA, DFA, etc.

  • Provide customer documentation and other deliverables (e.g. FMEDA, FTA, safety case analysis, FIT rate analysis) needed for functional safety integrated circuits/products according to ISO 26262 to be integrated into the platform

  • Execute Functional Safety management according to ISO26262

  • Plan and follow up on all activities of the ISO26262 safety lifecycle

  • Support design/verification team in the verification of functionals safety implementation

  • Generation of safety case

  • Support/Maintenance/Creation of Development Interface Agreement with Customer

  • Support Software Tool development and qualification as per ISO26262

Qualifications

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Microelectronics or similar

  • At least 5 years of experience in automotive development (System, HW or SW), preferred in silicon development

  • Proven experience in creating safety concepts and analyses (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA)

  • Knowledge of analog/mixed-signal design and integrated circuits

  • Architectural understanding of integrated devices, experience as designer within a R&D organization represents a plus

  • Profound knowledge of functional safety standards ISO 26262 and/or IEC61508

  • Good knowledge of quality management standards like ISO/TS16949

  • Knowledge of automotive SPICE/CMMI (desirable)

  • Knowledge of ISO21434 (desirable)

  • Fluent in English is a key requirement for this role, German is a plus
