About the role
We are looking for an Operator to run a cell of machines, while maintaining and operating machinery that shapes plastic through a process called injection molding. You’ll ensure the quality and efficiency of running production during your shift. We are looking for a machine operator who is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and high safety standards. Operator will go through On-the-job training to ensure all standard work and safety practices are met. Operator should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers and management. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried out smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits. While maintaining 5s standards.
What you will be doing
Run a cell of injection-molding machines
Inspect product for proper level of quality, color accuracy, measure parts with gages and record measurements in the online SPC system and color measuring equipment as required
Assure machines are running at peak efficiency, rate and quality throughout the shift
Clean, inspect, lubricate and maintain injection mold tooling during the production as required
Accurately count, box, package, and weigh completed product, accurately record production quantities
Work accurately within the SAP business system
Interact continuously with real time production monitoring system
Work with robotics and other automated equipment
Participate in continuous improvement events, JDIs and CIs when necessary
Work as part of a team within the cell to minimize downtime and increase overall OEE
Maintain 5S standards
Adhere to department work instructions and SOE’s to maintain standard work
About you
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
Excellent mechanical skills and ability
Good math skills
Ability to use measuring instruments
Ability to learn and understand SPC
Ability to read blueprints
Good communication skills
Ability to work well with others as a team
Excellent time management skills
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, or walking. (Frequent)
