Job Description

Operations Engineering Division (OED) is the central pillar organization that supports all Product Groups/Business Divisions and other support organizations including Sales and Marketing and Business Operations teams such as Supply Chain Management and Procurement.

This organization offers a solid central platform managing all process technology and PDK development for both Internal Manufacturing and External Foundry processes for the whole company.

The strong and highly qualified team-members (MS/Ph.D.) add strength in developing Test Technology and Operations and Foundry Operations and Yield management. Technology nodes cover a wide spectrum including advanced Logic 3nm, high performance Power, discrete technologies including SiC, IGBT and a multitude of analog centric technologies manufactured in house and at strategic supplier.

The team’s world class contributions lead to aggressive NPI strategies and continuous cost and Gross margin improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall key technology roadmaps and execution designed within US R&D sites.

  • Key Program Management role within Renesas Central Operations Engineering Department (OED) to strongly interface between OED Engineering teams including (Process Technology, PDK Development, Quality) and Product Groups and Sales/Marketing for smooth NPI to Ramp execution and in conjunction driving External and Internal Manufacturing Groups/Suppliers for timely product delivery/Revenue Support.

  • Develop, define, and execute plans of record, including, schedules, deliverables, and risks.

  • Monitors and drives the program from initiation through delivery, interfacing with internal and external stakeholders across functions on technical matters, as needed.

  • Working independently with little supervision. Making decisions that are moderate in impact; errors may have financial impact or effect on projects, operations, or customer relationships.

  • Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels.

  • May require strong negotiation and influence, communication to cross functional groups.

  • Exercising substantial creativity to innovate new processes, procedures to achieve established objectives.

  • Develops and manages the execution of the program Plan of Record (e.g., on time, within scope etc.)

  • Tracks and manages all key metrics pertaining to a program and identifies when metrics deviate significantly from Plan of Record; escalates issues in a timely manner and proposes corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters - Electrical Engineering or related Discipline, with Work Experiences

  • 4+ years working in semiconductor operations/ Engineering.

  • Highly desirable: Technical Program Management with BS/MS in Business Admin.

  • Hard core and high intensity individual driving matrix organization execution

  • Bilingual capability with skill English + Japanese/Chinese would be a plus.
