Paychex Sr Manager, Sales Planning & Operations - Micro Market Team in United States
Overview
Manages the overall strategic and tactical direction for the Sales Planning & Operations organization, and the day-to-day direction of the Sales Planning & Operations Managers, Sales Project Management Office, and Sales Policy supporting the Sales Divisions as approved by the Sr. Director of Sales Strategy & Operations, by partnering with their peers across the larger Sales Strategy & Operations organization, as well as, the Product Management, Operations, Marketing, Finance, HRBPs, and Training teams to ensure that the Sales Division is positioned to achieve divisional and company financial goals and objectives. Acts as liaison and key resource for corporate functional partners involved in initiatives that impact sales operations and the sales organization.
Responsibilities
Maintains overall accountability and monitors Sales Division activities, training and procedures to ensure standardization and compliance with Corporate and divisional practices.
Manages the Sales Operations, Sales Policy and Sales Communications across the assigned Sales Divisions
Provides guidance and coaching for strategy planning through assessment of sales methodologies, internal/external data-driven insights and competitive intelligence and positioning
Assists in the development of KPI's and provides direction on all key sales execution initiatives and strategies to measure progress to performance against defined success criteria and diagnose areas of opportunity
Manages, directs and develops direct report team of Divisional Sales Operations managers responsible for Sales Division alignment to Company goals, focused on executing key Sales Operations and Planning initiatives.
Manages the Sales Project Management Office, responsible for leading cross-divisional strategies sales projects and initiatives.
Provides direction, guidance and development to the Division Sales Operations team in order to accomplish initiatives being driven by Divisional & Corporate Sales Senior Leadership.
Partners with HROD leadership, in the acquisition of and retention of top talent through compensation, incentive programs, recruitment strategies, onboarding excellence, and sales training.
Works with, coaches, and directs Sales Operations teams to effectively lead through influence and partner with Division Senior Leadership to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in Sales Division processes, procedures & training, with Divisional Senior Leadership to establish recommendations for policies, procedures, best practices and efficiencies within the Sales Division and with Sales Division Training team to ensure sales representative and management training programs and content are consistent and aligned with Marketing messaging, and corporate and divisional goals and requirements.
Works with Sales Operations teams to modify Sales Division training materials and programs to match changes in the product offerings due to the introduction of new products and/or features.
Collaborates with Sales Enablement to explore operational excellence tools to optimize business process performance and to build business cases for technology requirements.
Leads team to partner with Product Management, Marketing & Development to represent Sales Division on all projects that impact the Sales Division.
Directs team to recommend and coordinate implementation of enhancements and modifications as needed. Coordinates communications to sales management pertaining to Sales Division issues and/or requirements.
Equips the organization with operational excellence and practices to improve and optimize business process performance.
Identifies skill gaps of direct report team to determine additional training needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, or IT - Preferred
Master's Degree - Preferred
7 years of experience in Sales and Sales Management and Sales Tools.
4 years of experience in Management experience.
Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position $135,000 - $170,000 . Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
