Summary
The Social Media Specialist I works collaboratively with the Social Media Specialist II and the wider marketing team to evolve and maintain the social media strategy by actively engaging Carhartt consumers/fans and building relationships with people new to the brand. This role will work collaboratively to develop innovative, best-in-class content within all social media and content platforms with a focus on business results, brand awareness/engagement. They will look for strategic ways to tell the brands story through clever social media content and marketing campaigns that drive sales and promote Carhartt to both current and prospective customers.

Responsibilities
Deliver best-in-class social customer engagement experience by monitoring and actively engaging with Carhartt consumer’s and fan’s questions, complaints, comments, or praise as soon as possible.
Adopt, maintain, and apply the brand tone and voice to social community engagement tactics in collaboration with copywriters to build, foster, and grow brand’s online communities.
Plan and publish daily content for social platforms (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter, YouTube), ensuring that all messaging aligns with monthly and weekly marketing goals and themes by partnering with internal and external teams.
Identify and share influencer and content creator opportunities across multiple platforms, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube through the Associate Manager, Influencer Marketing.
Leverage social media listening tools to identify key themes and topics across social media channels and make recommendations to improve brand efforts, priorities, and investments.
Capture and analyze appropriate social data/metrics, insights, and best practices; make recommendations for future campaign plans and report out to leadership and internal teams ensuring upwards visibility, as well as helping inform what metrics are valuable.
Regularly report social trends, audience development and competitive brand insights to the team
Complete other social media and/or marketing projects as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or other related discipline.
Required Skills and Experience
3 or more years of experience with social media, social media community management, social content creation, or related field, including experience in publishing social content both in-app and in Social Management tools (Sprout Social)
Ability to provide a writing sample or portfolio of work demonstrating strong creative thinking and community management skills on social platforms.
Excellent written communication skills.
Passion for and expertise in social media and navigating the digital marketing landscape
Proactive, self-starter, self-manager, and tenacity in finding solutions to problems
Highly creative and imaginative with strong conceptual skills
Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail.
Established experience on mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, X, Threads, YouTube, LinkedIn, Snapchat, and Pinterest
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions
Typical office environment; cubicle/office setting. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required.
Willing to work evenings and weekends if necessary.
This position has a Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities
