Responsibilities

The ServiceNow Senior Developer reports directly to the ServiceNow Platform Manager and is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex solutions on the ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate closely with various teams to identify business needs and translate them into technical specifications.

In this role you will:

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ServiceNow configurations and customizations.

  • Develop and implement advanced workflows, business rules, scripts, and user interfaces using ServiceNow tools and APIs.

  • Integrate ServiceNow with external systems using industry best practices (e.g., LDAP, REST APIs).

  • Ensure code quality through code reviews and adherence to coding standards.

  • Create and maintain system documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and future maintainability.

  • Troubleshoot complex issues, diagnose problems, and provide solutions for optimal platform performance.

  • Stay up to date on the latest ServiceNow features and functionalities.

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the ServiceNow platform.

  • Provide technical mentorship to other members of the team

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow developer (5+ years)

  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow core functionalities (CMDB, Incident Management, Change Management, etc.)

  • Experience with scripting languages used in ServiceNow (e.g., JavaScript, Jelly)

  • Experience with developing custom Service Portal applications.

  • Experience with integrating ServiceNow with external systems (a plus)

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A passion for continuous learning

    ServiceNow Certifications or Experience:

  • Certified ServiceNow Administrator (CSA)

  • Certified ServiceNow Developer (CAD)

  • Other ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification (CIS)
