EquipmentShare is Hiring a Service Continuous Improvement Director

EquipmentShare is searching for a Service Continuous Improvement Director for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow. This position can sit remote in the US.

The Service Continuous Improvement Director will be responsible to develop the foundations for services to follow the growth speed of EquipmentShare. Hands-on developing tools, processes, and projects that will enable the company to expand without disruptions on organization and structure. This position will be responsible for creating innovative solutions and designing new projects and business cases to present to the ES leadership team in a professional way.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Create business plans to present to the top leadership with a clear return of investment, resources needs and impact in the business.

  • Hands On Developing the project and designing a new Technical Support to the Customers;

  • Provides strategic leadership and technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for successful development of projects.

  • Ensures that the program is technically sound, evidence-based, and consistent with funder and stakeholders’ priorities.

  • Provides guidance to the project managers including all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to project management and administration, including reporting, budget development and monitoring, financial impact, execution of project plans, and project performance.

  • Trigger initiatives to increase collaboration with Operations and improve service performance

  • Create a pipeline of projects with clear priorities and control all new initiatives within the Service Department, and share priorities with developers and other stakeholders

  • Oversees the selection and training of qualified program staff, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance to ensure efficient operations.

  • Ensures the project produces the specified results in the annual workplan(s) to the required standard of quality and within the timeline and budget parameters.

  • Oversees budget pipeline development and budget monitoring. Conducts monthly reviews to ensure accountability of all project activities as well as the accurate and timely reporting of financial deliverables and obligations.Lead, plan, measure and continue improvement of all service development (KPIs)

  • Experience managing, designing, implementing, and evaluating projects

  • Strong knowledge in implementing Technical Support in service organizations

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Applications

  • A strong technical understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and repair

  • Preferably experience in the equipment rental industry

  • Strong communication skills

  • Creative problem solving skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • The ability to prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously

  • Proven ability to deliver powerful presentations and create business plans

    Skills & Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (minimum, Master’s degree) in a relevant field from an accredited university with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership position

  • Experience in equipment maintenance

  • Experience developing technical support organizations

  • A strong understanding of all aspects of service, parts, and warranty
