Senior Test Engineer (f/m/d)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer (m/f/d) at our Dresden location with immediate effect. As a Senior Test Engineer at Renesas, you will be responsible for semiconductor products for applications in the industrial and automotive areas. In our Automotive Test Competence Center (ATCC) you will develop state-of-the-art test solutions according to our test strategy. You ensure the continuous improvement of our design and thus enable the transfer to industrial production. As a Senior Test Engineer, you will have the opportunity to research product technical requirements, validate its performance characteristics, and then developing and maximizing test solutions including hardware for high volume manufacturing. You will work collaboratively with definition, design, and application engineers to root-cause product issues, identify opportunities for resolution and improvement.

Your tasks:

  • Development of test patterns to improve our testing strategy

  • Implementation of test solutions (hardware and software)

  • Ensuring a modular test program approach

  • Development of loadboards and test hardware

  • Monitor product performance in terms of yield, cost and compliance

  • Support of our system validation engineers in the characterization of our components

  • Participate in peer reviews of other teams

Qualifications

  • BSEE or higher degree with 4+ years direct ATE experience in analog & mixed signal test development including characterization and test time reduction.

  • Knowledge of the verification and characterization of mixed-signal circuits and the use of automatic test and measurement equipment (Advantest V93k desirable)

  • Knowledge of Design for Testability (DfT) and Cadence IC design

  • Skills in creating and verifying complex software in C/C++ Familiar of statistical data analysis with tools such as Excel, JMP or equivalent

  • Able to utilize engineering test equipment like oscilloscopes, meter and power sources to debug test setup

  • Able to manage priorities of multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment

  • Fluent English skills (spoken and written)

  • Interested in the semiconductor industry and related products

  • Cooperation skills and communication skills complete your profile
